Exchange 2016 on premise disabled users accounts for autosplit_xxxxxxx public folder mailboxes. can they be safely deleted.
We have two exchange 2016 servers on premise connected as in DAG configuration and we converted public folder from exchange 2010 to 2016 and removed/uninstalled exchange 2010 server from domain.
We have :
• 5 Mailbox Databases
• 40 + public Folders Mailboxes (two are my current converted mailboxes Primary and Secondary) and rest of them named AutoSplit_long_hex_number
• Few shared mailboxes
In my Active directory I do see under users:
1. Disabled user for each public folder mailbox and for each shared mailbox. MY guess is that AutoSplit-long hex databases were create by temporary sync of Ex2010 public folders to exchange 2016 before we converted public folders to 2016.. See attached screenshot attached.
When I checked Autosplit_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mailbox usage most of them return Warning :
‘the user has not logged in onto mailbox’ / so there is no data to return.
2. Few SystemMailBox {hex number} users which are also disabled
3. HealthMailbox followed by Hex number. I have 40 plus users all active
a:MY question is which Users are no longer needed and can be deleted? ( I assume some of them are leftovers from Exchange 2010. I am seeking an answer only form Exchange Expert.
b: how do I check if I need autosplit public folder mailboxes.
Thank you for reading.

1. what about autosplit_................ .. public folder mailboxes?
i do remember that when I started conversion of public folders from ex2010 to ex2016 I had to create new public folder mailboxe mailbox1 and it created backup mailbox2 where all of my exchange 2010 folders were converted too.
before conversion we were using publicfolder sync via user account and before I created mailbox1 pub mailbox I did see this bunch of autosplit........... records there.
2. what about helthmailbox.............. .......... .?
which once are current while some maybe left overs from ex2010?

No don't delete the disabled public folder mailboxes which are named as autosplit or even normal PF mailboxes which are named as normal because of below:
Get-mailbox –PublicFolder ‘ExchangeGuruPF’ :fl Name, SamAccountName, IsShared, ExchangeUserAccountControl, RecipientTypeDetails
Hence you are getting warning: Warning :
‘the user has not logged in onto mailbox’ / so there is no data to return.
