Is there a way to disable the "Scroll to Top" feature which scrolls to the top of imessage window when you simply touch the right side "antenna/ear" on the iPhone

Any idea if there is a Scroll down option by tapping somewhere else to to back to bottom of messages vs. exiting out and going back in?
Yes, there is. If you scroll up or down slightly you'll see the scroll bar on the right. Double tap that and then hold/press the scroll bar and you should have the ability to fast scroll up and down on the conversation.
I have an iPhone 11. What iPhone are you using? It might be slightly different between phone versions.
