Hi Gordon,

If by blank you mean NULL, then use a record selection formula such as :
IsNull({your_field})

For the reverse, use:

NOT IsNull({your_field})

The Null does not work, because the field is blank in the SQL database rather than Null

The formula above works ok where the field is blan
Not to get the report to show the opposite where tye field contains data!!

If the field is blank text as opposed to null, then simply use
= ""
or
<> ""
