Looking for easier-to-read fonts for my Note 8.

Looking for easier-to-read fonts for my Note 8.  The fonts on the Samsung Store are $1.90 for me in the US.  Are there other ways to get fonts for my phone for less?

Free is less than $1.90.

With Wings Samsung Fonts, you have access to more than 1500 Samsung fonts and all of them are free. That’s right, 1500+ FREE Samsung fonts. These are some of the best fonts you can find for Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Note8 and many other Samsung devices.

nickg5 please provide detailed, exact directions
Ok, I hit apply.  Goes back to the "Display" settings in Settings..... now what?
Do I have to choose "SamsungSans" in Fonts?
Try another method. I do not have a Samsung product.

Head to Settings from the app on your home screen, app tray, or by pulling down the notification bar and tapping the gear-shaped settings button
Tap Display
Select Screen zoom and font
Scroll down to Font Style and select one

As you can see, Samsung gives you five different styles to choose from. Pick what you want, then hit Apply to save your changes. The choices are Default, Gothic Bold, Choco cooky, Cool Jazz, Rosemary, or hit the + to download more fonts. You can also change the font size with the slider in this same menu. Which is helpful if you download a font that’s too big.

How to Download Fonts on the Galaxy Note 8
If you don’t like the five fonts provided, feel free to download from the hundreds created by developers.

Head to Settings from the app on your home screen, app tray, or by pulling down the notification bar and tapping the gear-shaped settings button
Tap Display
Select Screen zoom and font
Scroll down to Font Style and select + Download fonts
Once you hit download you’ll be directed to the Galaxy App Store. In here you can choose from a wide array of fonts. Some are free, while others cost anywhere from $0.99 to $1.79 depending on the style.

PLEASE PROVIDE CLEAR DIRECTIONS FOR MY PHONE... NOTE 8 ANDROID 10
I'm sorry I have had no luck finding anything more.

Other members of EE who may actually have a Galaxy product may be able to help you.
Allow some time for others to see your question.

Mark, I think what you really want are the accessibility settings. You don't need to install new fonts, that route will just be more difficult to solve the problem of making it easier to read.

This allows you to change from available fonts, font size, magnification, contrast and other options.

ok done with that part
can we do the .apk, too?
can we do the .apk, too?

What is your purpose for the .apk method?

I think you need to install the fonts via Galaxy Store app and pay for the fonts which is not free. It violates the intellectual property rights if you want to skip payment.
wait, what?  I'm looking for a way to get a bunch of fonts on my phone not just Samsung sans
You cannot port windows font to an Android phones.

The fonts listed inside Galaxy Store app are developed for Samsung Android phones only and technically speaking, the fonts are just like apps published inside Galaxy Store and the only way to get the non-free fonts are to pay for them.

We will infringe the intellectual property rights of Samsung if we help you to do what you want.
Any update?
I was hoping someone could walk me thru installing the .apk fonts....
I was hoping someone could walk me thru installing the .apk fonts....

The fonts are just apps and there is no way to obtain the .apk files unless you have paid for them.

If you have paid for them, there are methods to extract the apps as .apk files so that you can install the apps in another Samsung Android phones.

However, there are risks of incompatibility and violation of intellectual property rights.

So, I do not think it is wise to discuss the methods here.
I really do not know what your last post means.  Do we need to take the conversation elsewhere?
I mean it is better to close this question first and ask a related question about backing up apps as .apk files and not about how to get paid fonts apps without paying for them.

In short, if you want to know more, you need to change the focus of your questions to a technical view on how apps are installed and how you can backup the apps which you have already paid for and how you can install them in case if Google Play does not work. You should not focus on how to find the source of .apk files for apps that are not free.

If you are the app developers of the fonts apps, do you want free riders to get your apps without making payments to you?
Thank you techs....
