Open any pdf doc and it tries to print the pdf instead of opening

Hello all, I have a windows 10 system that anytime I open a pdf it opens up adobe acrobat pro but trying to print, and if I hit cancel the document closes. I am sure this got to be windows setting but I am having a hard time finding something in windows or acrobat to stop this so it will just open the pdf. Any suggestions

Does this occur when clicking on the PDF file directly, or when opening it from an already-started acrobat window, or both?

Right click the file and see what action is listed in bold letters. Possibly "print", not "open".

Could you check the default app open settings for PDF files?


Press windows key and type Default and choose Default Apps - Select Set Default by app - choose Adobe Acrobat DC Pro

- Manage - see the PDF the default app is Acrobat Pro. 


Also check when you right click the pdf file - Open with - the default app is Adobe Acrobat Pro. 


Also, change the default printer to another printer. (like Microsoft print to PDF or Microsoft XPS Document Writer)

I found that only this one pdf on the google drive would not print so we just gave up, I would think it had some permissions issues. The user found another copy in email that would print
