You never closed the question! It' still open, that was only 2 weeks ago.
If you click your profile, and click contributions, you can see all your old questions.

and click Contributions, and you will see all the questions you have posted and their status (open). that is one method, you can also click your briefcase and look at your Activity, and Open Questions.

Probably.. I like the old style of EE..
Now, even when I close the Question, it will show as open..it is hard to track the open Questions

I find it easy, Click Briefcase in the upper toolbox, Click Workspace --> Open Questions

Just tested and closed all my outstanding questions and the GUI Open Questions updates correctly.
