Windows 10 to Windows 10 file sharing network name

Having issues connecting two Windows 10 computers network share. The 'server' won't let one of the computers on the network connect to it. It will however except the IP address share ex. \\192.168.1.2 but not \\computername.
The error that comes up is network path not found. Other computers on the same network can still get to this folder with the server name, but not this one.

That sort of name service isn't necessarily reliable.  It's been deprecated.

One "help" for this is to set the service: Function Discovery Resource Publication to Automatic and Start it on the "server".

or put

192.168.1.2   computername

in Hosts

Might also be worth checking that on the machine that can't connect Windows isn't treating the network as a Public network and so not trusting other devices.
