Traffic Shaping Impact
Traffic Shaping Impact
If I have one standard switch with 2 VM Port groups
VM Port Group1 has traffic shaping policy applied to it
VM port Group 2 does not have Traffic Shaping policy
VM port Group 1 has 2 VMs in it , now if one VM from PG1 communicates with a VM in PG2, I believe the Traffic shaping policy will apply, but if one VM from PG1 communicates with the other VM in the same PG1, I do not think Traffic shaping policy will apply..
The same for VM in PG2 if it communicates with a VM in PG1 the Traffic Shaping policy will not apply, because it is an inboud traffic for PG1, but when a VM from PG1 replies to a VM in PG2 Traffic shaping will apply.
Correct ?
Thank you
