Setup Model for Faxing on Ricoh C3004 printer
Does anyone have any documentation or can possibly walk me through setting up the model for faxing on a Ricoh C3004 printer? I am being tasked with this later today and have not been exposed to this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I do not know if this feature uses data through ethernet or requires an RJ9 cable for phone.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry meant RJ11. If the printer doesnt have that port on the back of the printer I can assume the card is not installed correct?
Also Is there anything else that needs to be done besides plugging in a phone cable? Lets just assume faxing was never setup from scratch.
No, nothing at all, as long as you can get a dial tone it'll send a fax when the card is installed

But Do I need to Register any fax information? Also how do you put a shortcut on the main screen of the printer for faxing?

So it looks like there are 2 RJ11 jacks on this printer. There is a printer installed here with fax setup on it, that is being moved to another building. There is a fax number, the fax line is coming from the back of their spectrum modem. I think I can just run the line from the back of the modem to one of the port jacks (Theres 2 not sure which one is active). There is also a fax shortcut setup on the printer already. Technically I should be able to plugin and send faxes manually right?
Do I need to configure the printer to receive faxes? Or if that number is dialed will the printer kick in and will the fax come through? So what I am being told is Faxing was setup on this printer it just never worked. So not sure where to look specifically.

Update, I was able to connect the phone line from the modem to the line on the printer and was able to fax out. There was a test fax sent to the printer however nothing came through. Do I need to connect the second phone jack to the second port in the modem or should 1 line suffice for both inbound and outbound
It's an RJ11 Phone cable and you need a fax card installed in the printer, then you can create a shortcut to the fax function on the home page.
It is not compatible with print management functions.
