It would really help experts, if you could add versions of vcenter server, whether for Windows or VCSA, ESXi versions, what you are logged as...

in your original question and provide as much details as possible.

otherwise we've got to ask all these questions.

ASKER

Vcenter 6.7 it is installed on Windows server 2012 R2
Logged in as Domain Administrator , it has the same Role as Administrator@Vsphere.local

Feel free to ask if any other questions come up

Thanks
Login as Administrator@vsphere.local, it's possible a role is missing, or permissions issue as Domain Admin.

Not sure why even with Administrator@vsphere.local, I get this error when I try to create Content Library

is there a location where they have Log file that might log the errors in a clear way ?

where in Vsphere 6.7 can you do the update ?
download latest vCenter Server 6.7 for Windows and update from iso.

You are better off using VCSA 6.7.

I have just installed it last week..it is Eval license .. for LAB

Per the Error Message , it looks like permissions issue to write to Local Datastore on the ESX Host.

I am logged in to Vcenter as Administrator@Vsphere.local , logon to ESX  is with root user account

it is normal LAB

2 ESX hosts in one Cluster, and Vcenter
There is no shared storage.

Vmware download has VCSA as an  iso file
where should I install it ?
Mount the ISO, run the installer and install to ESXi host.

see my EE Article for guidance..

HOW TO: Deploy and Install the VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.5 (VCSA 6.5)

(6.7 is exactly the same, just change the iso!)

I will post another question...
ESX hosts can see the storage, but neither Content library can be created nor migration works

Thanks
