freeware to record sounds from various apps

I'm looking for a freeware that could record the sounds that came out from
various apps : can be youtube, zoom,  browser playing a website, a VLC player:
only the sound without the video/screen.

Best if the audio can be saved into various common formats.

Ideally the software is portable (ie just run without installation) but this
feature is optional.

Question2:
sometimes a few apps are playing concurrently (eg: a few youtube
videos are playing): is there any way to audio-record only for a particular
youtube (the tab that I could select to record) or it'll just record the
jumbled sounds?  Purpose is to record a specific video's sound while
I'm playing another one

From my experience.

This kind of request needs a bit of workaround using some tools to reach your target Because no such an application or tool fits your requirement so there are two options.

In both options you need a video editing tool that can separate the Video track form audio track like Sony Vegas pro this app is accepting most of the videos file extensions like WMP, MKV, MP4...... also, you can save your target as an audio file like MP3, or WAV.....

Option 1 ( recommended )

there are many online tools that can offer downloading from youtube, for example, fetchtube or voobys,  its allow you to download the video in many options and formats one of them is audio as an MP3 file format. If there is no Audio option you have to download your clip as Video format and then use the video editor program to export the audio file.

Option 2

Use one of the Capturing tools like FastStone capture tool that allow you to capture what you view onscreen and what hear. The problem is there is no audio option for export so you need the Video editing tool to export the audio-only. Moreover, the quality of the audio captured via these types of tools is not good almost there is a delay.

I got this portable CamStudio:

what's the difference between recording from 'speaker' vs 'mic' as shown in screen 1?

Screen 2 shows an error pops up if I select 'speaker' option: what's the cause?
So I can only select 'mic' option?

This error on screen 2 related to your sound card options

Go to your sound card options under the record tap enable the onboard speaker device to record what you hear if it not work try option 1

1-  go to the Sound Icon on the Taskbar at the lower right corner of your desktop ( right-click ) and  choose " OPEN SOUND SETTING"

2- From the appeared window follow the instructions as shown

3- A new window will open with multi Tabs choose Recording  TAB

4- there is an icon called Stereo Mixer that is almost disabled  you have to enable it

all these steps just to enable your sound card to use it as an internal recorder instead of the microphone

now go to your recording program on recording options and choose this option  " Camst_speakerOpt.jpg"
