Capture Image Issues

I am using a reference VM on Hyper V for my golden image for deployment later.  While running the capture during the sysprep part the VM keeps losing the network adapter.  then of course the process stops since it can't find the deployment share any longer.  I need some help to get this going.

SysPrep is the last step, thus there should be no need for any further access to a "deployment share", which in this context makes no sense at all. What does "deployment share" mean? What is it used for?

It holds all the scripts that run during the capture process located on the imaging server.  I think I have found the issue, but don't want to say for sure until I test it some more.
"the capture process located on the imaging server"
What kind of image are you taking? What capture process?

I thought you are trying to create a syspreped VHD?
I use WDS to capture and deploy images.  The process syspreps the VM before capturing the image and then it saves it to the deployment share drive.  I'm looking at a different way to image, but haven't had time to look at what is best.  Any suggestions.
After sysprep you shutdown the VM. Saving it to your deployment share is an external task in this context, run on the Hyper-V host. It is run, when the VM is down.
