How to resolve a CNAME for printer that's in a different domain?

Hi,

We have two domains - A and B, let's say.   The print server is in domain A and the printer is in B. (in DNS)

I can't resolve the CNAME of the printer from the print server in domain A.

I thought that with Conditional Forwarding enabled and defined in Domain A, that it should be able to resolve the printer in domain B?

We can only setup the printer by IP address, but prefer CNAME resolution between the two domains.

Thanks!

If you use nslookup to try to resolve the CNAME record, what response do you get? Is it "Non-existent domain" or something else?

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, "non-existent domain.   However, if I append the suffix of domain B, it resolves.  Do I need to add the DNS server address of domain B to the TCP/IP v4 properties, or add/append Domain B's primary suffix "in order" or "connection-specific"?   I hope I explained that well.
Sorry, i'm a little confused. Does the CNAME record exist in the forward lookup zone for domain A or B?
