Requesting Professional Opinions on Vertiv - PSI5 vs APC as a Power Backup Solution.

I would like to get some professional feed back on Vertiv - PSI5 as an alternative solution to APC or standard battery units. Has anyone used this product or replaced APC with them in your field? Any help would be appreciated. I am looking for specifics what you have seen feature wise along with any good articles or links that can show me some of the advantages/ disadvantages.

I am looking at this as a potential replacement for a lot of our SLA clients especially in their current infrastructure. The more detail I can get the better.

Given a choice between APC and anything else, and with no thought for the money involved, I'll take APC every time. They have been around since Hector was a pup, and their equipment is usually repairable in the field by any technician with a modest amount of electronic knowledge. APC is always satisfactory, with the caveat "as long as you buy new equipment or used equipment which the reseller will stand behind."

You will get as many different opinions on this as experts who comment on the question. As always, YMMV.

It is hard to rate a product we've never seen. From my experience for the Servers use only Eaton, or Schneider APC. For workstations you can get by with Cyber Power UPS

Thanks Dave my boss is proposing switching to this solution over APC and I am not comfortable about it.

Eaton is better than APC IMHO. The drawback is that the price is higher.
