Because it's NOT AUTOMATIC!!!!<br />

The two systems are complete isolated!!!<br />
<br />
Unless you have all the logic and plugins in vCenter Server and Expand and drive from there!

vCenter not detecting addition of space to a datastore. Datastore is on a SAN, carved out as a LUN on a VNX 5300. I increased the LUN from the VNX5300. unable to see any changes in vcenter.
