Mac Finder Sidebar not showing.

When I click 'view', 'show sidebar'... the sidebar is grayed out.  :(

The wierd thing is a workaround I found. If I open the trash, I can see the sidebar in there, and then browse to where I need to be.

Hi. There are a whole list of com.apple.finder.plist files:

com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.finder.plist.88cuUjq
com.apple.finder.plist.bpxtMLs
com.apple.finder.plist.gg4JHtL
com.apple.finder.plist.lGkVuxy
com.apple.finder.plist.Z4eRaJp

Should I delete them all?
Most likely.  There's only 1 plist for the finder.  The rest aren't plist files, but look like backup versions from something that were copied when something changed in the finder plist.
Worked like a charm. Thank you
