SSD carrier for drive bay

Hi,

I have a Supermicro Mini-Tower case (CSE-721TQ-250B2) with 4 hot-swappable bays in the front.  I currently have spinning drives but want to start swapping them out for SSD drives.

Anyone know what carrier I could buy that will align the SSD properly in the bay?  Or is this standardized and any of them will work?

Thanks!

Assuming you buy 2.5 inch SSDs then you need 3.5 to 2.5 brackets, the connectors still align.
Take your pick - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mounting-Bracket-Drive-Holder-Adapter/dp/B07HQVB4XB

Thanks Andy.  I've bought brackets befor for 2.5" drives but never had to use them in a case that has a backplane.  So the alignments are pretty standard then?  "Trust, but verify" :)

I've used both metal and plastic generic 3.5" - 2.5" converters with no problem.
They're all standardized.  The 3.5" drives have the connectors set in a specific position.  The 2.5" drives are all set in a specific position.  The caddies adjust them all the same.

(f only they would standardize on batteries.)
Boy, isn't that the truth about batteries.  Sigh.

Thanks guys!  Much appreciated!

Pull one of the existing caddies and look at the underside. There should be four countersunk holes in the base plate. That would be for the SSD or 2.5" drive mount.

Some caddies we've worked with had a "wall" of sorts that had to be removed for 3.5" drives.

If there are countersunk holes for 2.5" drives then there should be a special tapered head Robertson screw set that came with.
