Excel Copy & Paste Not Working

Im remoted into a 2019 Standard Terminal Server, i open Quickbooks, export a report to Excel which has many formulas, then i simply copy the report and switch over to XL on my PC, i try to paste and get this error:

The data you're pasting isn't the same size as your selection.  Do you want to past anyway?

If i hit "yes" it pastes but i lose all formulas.  This was working for years up until about a week ago, a saw a update had installed and i uninstalled it but still doesnt work.  The server and the desktop computer are both running Office 365.

I have done a online repair of Office on the server and also reinstalled Office on the PC.  I have made sure RDPCLIP was running on server and desktop but still no go.

Any ideas?

I don't think the above will be of any help since you are able to copy and paste, you just aren't getting the results you expect.
Since patches seem to keep changing the way things work, some quick items to check...
1. Make sure both systems are on the same version.
2. Instead of a straight paste, try "Paste special" and see if any of the options work better.
3. You mentioned about the warning that size is different. Did you get that before? Otherwise, solving that warning may fix your problem.
4.This seems silly, but if you save the report ad then open it on your desktop (instead of copy and paste), then copy it from there, do you get different results? The answer to this will tell us where to look next.

this happnes frequently when you are using merged cells, if this is the case, try smaller portions of the sheet and see if some  header or cell is of this type (merged) and that might be the reason, also when pasting just select one cell and not a range, see if it autofits the areas properly
These are the usual causes of the message you got:
1. The information that you are trying to paste does not match the cell format (Date, Currency, Text, or other format) for the cells in the column.
2. There are not enough columns to accept the information that you're trying to paste.
3. The Copy area and the Paste area are not the same size and shape.
