Hi Expert,
I am getting stuck after restore the SSRS Database from 2008 to 2016. When i attempt to get into SSRS on the new Server it mentions the database is at lower version.

Thanks

You may have to look at the compatibility level of the Reporting databases (in SSMS select properties > Options) and update to SQL Server 2016). I can't be sure that is the issue, so make sure you have a backup before changing).

You simply can not do that - period. SSRS Reports migration has to be done at the "report" level and not by restoring the ReportServer database into a  new SQL 2016 version and please see details here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/install-windows/upgrade-and-migrate-reporting-services?view=sql-server-ver15 about how this can be properly done.

Considering you come from a lower unsupported version depending on the number of SSRS reports you must migrate/upgrade there are various paths/tools that you could potentially try and use instead of manyally exporting/importing all your reports.
