veeam backup strategy and access console

1) With Veeam is it common for an organisation to create a backup per VM, or could you technically bundle VM's into the same job? I am just interested in the logic behind one backup job per VM and if this is typically a usual strategy and if so why would that be?

2) Is there granular access controls to the veeam backup and replication console, and if so where specifically can you get a list of users/roles? Are these defined with the veeam console itself or integrated with the server on which the console is installed upon? E.g. windows/AD accounts?

3) Is the configuration database behind veeam backup & replication typically Microsoft's SQL Server or by default another platform?

I forgot one component: We also set up a backup of the configuration setup to the same backup media being rotated physically or into a cloud. This is important for recoverability. It is also encrypted using a different key than the backups.
