I did try:

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29174726/Moving-one-and-only-user-from-Azure-AD-and-keeping-Office-365-OneDrive.html

and

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29174961/Removing-Azure-AD-User-profile-from-workstation.html

Now the User is trying to find his OneNote files.  I guess he did find some but not all.

The original User profile files remain on the workstation.
I have copied all of the c:\Users\[originaluser]\Documents files over to the new user profile files.
Yet, OneNote files appear to be missing.
That's the sort of thing I was trying to avoid by pinpointing them.

Any suggestions?

Have the user log in to the Microsoft portal (login.microsoftonline.com) and click on OneNote to see if the data is there.

I've done that for them and found some things that may be of interest to them.  Thanks!
