cannot log back in after win 10 update
I did the Win 10 update and after that, I cannot log back in. It gives me an error message saying that the OS was not loaded correctly and needed a reboot. I did that several times. Now, it booted up and I saw the screen but my mouse are not working to click on anything. My laptop is a Thinkpad T540P. How do I get back to Win previous state.
Use the tab key to navigate at the login screen to start the ease of access, to enable keyboard based mouse controls.
Windows key + can get you rolled back, but it might be a driver issue....
Do you gave access to an external mouse, wired/wireless that you can use?
Another option, make sure they mouse pad is not disabled.
Do you have both, mouse pad and the .......
Personally, I as suggested above, would enable mouse control through ease of access (control panel) after login.
Then look at devices to see if there is an indicated error for a device, mouse.
Rescan system for changes........
Fn+F5 might be disable touch-pad.

I was able to use my mouse and reinstall the driver. Thank you very much
Side note: It is useful to re-enable the legacy method of F8 at system boot in Windows 10 for these situations. Bring up a privileged command prompt and type bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy. But that is for later once the system is running again.
