I have a hard disk that I want to replace with an SSD.   I used EasUS Partition software to migrate the OS to the SSD.   It did not transfer the edntire disk contents, just the recovery seection.

Download a copy of Clonezilla, burn the CD (or make a bootable flash drive), boot that and let Clonezilla handle the details.  The default settings should clone any standard Windows installation -- both the hidden recovery partition and the standard Windows partition.

What is the brand of your SSD?

Most SSD have bundled migration (cloning) software which can be downloaded free of charge.

you said "   I used EasUS Partition software"   it should worjk fine, but you need to select the whole disk, not a partition
here the free version - it may be easier  to use    https://nl.easeus.com/backup-software/todo-backup-free.html

I can recommend MiniTool Partition. It has good references, works great and it's simple. Give it a shot and see.

EaseUS Todo Backup... Did you follow all the instructions? There is no reason why you should get the results you got.

Thanks to all.   The best solution was to use the Samsung software, as the new SSD is a Samsung.
