Internet Explorer Autocomplete

My internet explorer will no longer save my autocomplete settings.  I keep checking the boxes for Forms & Searches and User names and passwords on forms but when I click "OK" and go back in, it's unchecked.

It's unlikely, but the Group Policy covering that feature may have been changed.  I say "unlikely" because when Group Policy disables those features, they should be dimmed out.  Still, have a look just to confirm that is not the issue.

I think it's more likely that your antivirus or a browser plugin is tampering with those controls behind your back.  Disable all IE plugins, assistants, addons and boosters, reboot, and see if the problem is alleviated.  If not, then check the antivirus settings, including the advanced ones.  (That includes things like Malwarebytes as well.)

I don't understand what you mean?  How do I get my antivirus to settings to updated?  This was all working fine until the update done in January.
