The source from where you got this file has to be checked whether there is another way to export the data.

I had difficulties with SSIS Import Files. You can use the following to import data from file on the SQL Server: 
1. Read the whole file into @myFile. 
2. Split line-by-line with CRLF. 
3. Get every field with SubString. In this solution you need to setup &nbsp;@ColumnLength for every field. 
4. You can use RTrim(...) to truncate tailing spaces.

I am attempting to import a file of which I've attached a sample, using SSIS. Unfortunately, I do not have a mapping document, so I am guessing at what the columns are and what the delimiter settings might be. Please advise.

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a component of the Microsoft SQL Server database software that can be used to perform a broad range of data migration tasks. SSIS is a platform for data integration and workflow applications. It features a fast and flexible data warehousing tool used for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). The tool may also be used to automate maintenance of SQL Server databases and updates to multidimensional cube data. SSIS replaced Data Transformation Services, which had been a feature of SQL Server since Version 7.0.
