how can I fax the contents of 32 page PDF file within Windows 10?

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,

I wish to help my sister fax a  PDF file consisting of 32 pages of pictures to 1st Franklin Financial in Cookeville, TN.  While I do have a traditional landline fax machine, I am wondering if I can somehow fax them all 32 pages within Windows 10.   I was thinking about simply emailing it to them as a file attachment, but, I could not locate any email address within the contact section of their website of https://locations.1ffc.com/tn/cookeville/124-s.-willow-avenue.html?utm_source=yext&utm_medium=citations&utm_campaign=yextwebsite That said, it seems like the easiest and most time-efficient approach is to simply fax it to them using Microsoft Fax of Windows 10 if that is an option.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  The company is needing the contents of the 32 page PDF file as soon as possible.

          Thank you :-)

to send the fax, you need two things:

1. your Windows 10 computer has a internal modem which can be plugged in with your phone line.
2. the recipient has a fax machine and phone number.

Why would you wanna fax 32 pages to someone who doesn't even expect it (because if they did, you already talked to them, and you could've easily asked for their email address already). Also note, they don't have a fax nr on their contact page.
Be more efficient, and just give them a call, and ask for their email address and send the PDF.
After all the hassle of the fax, they'll get back to you saying they can't see SH#@@^T on those pages (yes, you forgot how bad fax resolutions were?).

Hi Everyone,

My laptop is an Acer Aspire V3- 731-4473.  Upon visual inspection of the side of my laptop, it does have a connector on the side.  However, I do not know if it is RJ11 (telephone line connector) or RJ45 (ethernet connector).  Based upon the width, it appears to be an ethernet connector, but, I stand to be corrected.  Assuming it is a telephone line connector, which I do not think it is, what would be the necessary steps within Windows 10 for sending a fax?

With regards to the online services mentioned, the most appealing one is https://www.gotfreefax.com/    Seeing that this is a 32 page PDF file that exceeds most of the plans, it looks like I will need to sign up for the Premium/Business Prepaid Fax Service.  They have an option to buy a 100-page credit for $9.95 which brings me to the point of this upcoming question.  How may I sign up for this plan?  It appears I pay $9.95 only once without worrying about any type of monthly fee which sounds just fine with me.

Any replies to these follow-ups will be greatly appreciated.  I look forward to any comments which can provide full closure to this post.

           Thanks again.

It's been years since modems were built into systems, but here's how to determine what the plug is:

If there's only one plug, it's almost certainly Ethernet.

If it has only four wire pads showing, it's telephone.  If it has 8 wire pad showing, it's Ethernet.

You can always send 32 one-page faxes to avoid the fee.  The downside of that is that 32 advertisements show up before the fax pages.  If you pay for service there should be no ads.

If this is strictly a one-time issue, call the local office centers such as OfficeMax or Kinko's and ask them what their charge is for faxing a multiple-page document.  Or go to your local electronics recycler, tell them you want a desktop fax machine, and give them five dollars for it.  But note:  Fax works very poorly at best on anything except a real, POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) copper phone line.  It generally won't work at all on phone alternatives such as those provided by internet service providers.
Forget the hardware option, your laptop DOES NOT have a modem (unless you managed a 15 year old model in pristine condition), and hardware add-ons are nowhere to be found (there were mostly PCI/PCMCIA, less USB, also again, 15 years old).

Hi Everyone,

I am merely acting in the behalf of my sister.  She is the one who spoke to the agents of 1st Franklin Financial in Cookeville, TN.  My initial thought is to send them an email with the PDF file containing the pictures as an attachment as pointed out here in a couple of comments.  Seeing that my sister never got an email address from them in addition to being instructed to fax everything over to them at the number given to her, I basically continued onward with their wishes for faxing.  However, I will call them the first thing Monday and get the appropriate email address and simply send the PDF file containing the pictures as a file attachment.  Unfortunately, this deviates from my original question, but, it  would certainly be the easier and more time efficient to handle it in this way.

When I finally provide closure to this question, I will try to be as fair as possible to each person who took the time to offer feedback.  Those of you who have painfully gone through my questions before LOL already know this anyway.   I just want to throw that out there though.

I will be back in touch :-)

George I was in no way suggesting email over her desired carrier.
But she could open a free email through Yahoo or Gmail for the sole purpose of receiving the file.
If it is 32 pages then you have 32 pages to set in the fax machine and wait for it to arrive then send the next one and she'd have 32 pages on her end.
It can be done through Office Depot but the per page cost for faxing is high.

I have only used fax the old fashion way. One page at a time. If it is now possible to send an entire PDF file then I am behind the times.

I am only guessing that if she works for a company she should have a company email address. If she did not want to use that for personal messages then faxing may be the best method.

By the way I have taken a thumb drive containing documents and Office Depot used my thumb drive to get the contents to someone else.
I saw this elsewhere by chance.

"We used FaxZero for outgoing faxes and a free Efax account for incoming, it's limited to 10 pages a month but that's more than I have ever needed. They will try to get you to upgrade but just ignore it and don't sign up for the 'free trial' click 'subscribe' under the free efax option https://www.efax.com/efax-free"

That won't help you though with a 10 page limit but at least there are fax sites out there.

Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions.  While this deviated from my original question, I went ahead and emailed the pictures as an attached PDF file.  I decided to go with what would work the quickest and easiest as opposed to choosing the more complex approach of trying to do it through Windows 10.
