Hard Drive in Oracle Virtual Box Help
I am building an Oracle Virtual Box VM on a laptop. I have set the storage on the hard drive to 32 GB fixed. I run through the install to the reboot. When it comes back up it wants to reinstall CentOS 8 again and in the Installation Destination window the disc is still 32 GB but only about 1 MB is available. What am I doing wrong? I follow the book and videos to a tee but no beans. And why do I need to reinstall CentOS? I have set up VMs in VMWare just fine. I am new to Virtual Box. Can you help? thanks.

Hi noci,
sure "No need to change delete/reinstall", but doing it this way, will work for sure !

@Louis: If on the next install the DVD/CD image is not disconnected it will reboot from CD/DVD image again and again ask for a reinstall.... etc.
Ensure that after install during the reboot the "DVD/CD" is ejected! Then the drive can boot.
CD/DVD in most cases is before the harddisk in boot priority. OTOH the boot priority can be changed so the harddisk is chosen first... Which will prevent booting from a CD/USB if there is a valid bootable sector / gpt on the disk. (If it THEN fails it will get stuck in a bootloop).

@Noci : Sure you are right, after rereading the initial question, if @mcjim2k do want to reinstall lentos, il will have to remove cd image from vm.
My initial thought is that @mcjim2k wanted to reinstall the OS.

You can choose "Dynamic size" in VBox, that is having advantage than "Fixed size".
