I Can't edit my HOSTS file. Message says "I'm not an administrator"

I need to edit my HOSTS file and it says only an administrator can do this.
when I go into security settings the key settings are grayed out!
I am the administrator. it's my laptop


This is Windows 7 BTW,

Right-click on the Notepad icon (or whatever text editor you use) and click the Run as administrator menu item. Then open the hosts file...that should do it. Regards, Joe
