I mean if you have Maintenance Window for a Collection 1am - 4 am
If you have Software Update or Application deployment scheduled between 12am- 2am, then the install will still happen.
To my understanding Maintenance Window controls the Restart, as indicated by Microsoft on the link below:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/configmgr/core/clients/manage/collections/use-maintenance-windows
Though it does not talk about how to override it.

By default, computer restarts caused by a deployment aren't allowed outside of a maintenance window, but you can override the default.

Though it does not talk about how to override it.It doesn't, however, I provided a screenshot in one of your previous questions how to ignore a maintenance window.

The best way to get all the answers is to test it yourself. This will give you much more than theory.
Example:
MV is set between 1AM-4AM
Deployment is scheduled between 12AM- 2AM
= the deployment waits till 1AM, then the installation will start

Thank you Guys
No problem!
The point is that you can configure more maintenance windows. So you have an option to apply the maintenance window to specific device/user collection. For example, you have daily-shift devices and night shift-devices so you need to configure two MVs.
