Enable basic authentication for Office 365 account

Hi,

I'm using a Office 365 account in our phone system to access all users Exchange calendar, but after Microsoft Security Defaults have been enabled, it's no longer working. I'm getting this message:

the OIP cannot successfully connect to the Exchange Server.

This may have the following reasons:
- Incorrect User or password
- Domain name cannot be determined, or is incorrectly specified.
- The user has no impersonation rights   --> see on the online help OIP
- Basic authentication in Exchange Online was not activated   -->

I've reset the password and can login to the office portal with the account. I've tried creating a app password and use this, but with no luck. How can I enable basic authentication for just this one account in Office 365?

Thanks,
Ronnie

You cannot, security defaults are not customizable and the restrictions they enforce apply to all users. If you have Azure AD Premium licenses, disable security defaults and configure a matching CA policy instead, excluding said account.
