Why does AVG Internet Connection Sharing Mode turn off?

I use a Canon camera with WFT set to send images to an FTP server on my Windows 10 computer.   In order to send the images, AVG Internet Connection Sharing Mode has to be on in the enhanced firewall settings.   For some reason, it occasionally turns off, blocking the file transfer.   How do I prevent it from shutting  off?

Not so far.
I’m not an AVG user so I would have limited knowledge about this particular setting. However, you could try opening up Windows Event Viewer taking a look at the System or Application sections and see if there are any error codes when that happens. Or it could be you need to simply adjust additional setting(s) in AVG or Windows itself.

I would advise reaching out to AVG support directly on this one it’s highly possible they are aware of this behavior or have encountered bug cases like that in the past. Or leveraging the AVG support community would be possible too to get additional feedback on resolving the behavior. I did come across this case and a few others for example:

I checked the settings, they are as recommended, but I still cannot connect my camera.   I get a message that the FTP server rejected the connection attempt.
Strange. I‘ll let you know if I think of anything else to troubleshoot.
I’m reaching out to a few fellow Experts too since this is a bit outside of my wheelhouse.
I will reset the camera to factory settings.   When I try to connect it to my WiFi I want to use the 2.4G, not the 5G.   How do I tell the difference?   It just lists the available networks, along with the channel they are using.
