You should scan the pictures at the highest possible scan resolution (DPI), and see if that quality is up to par. DO NOT increase the picture size by way of a program. What's not there, can't be created. While it may seems the picture is bigger, it DID NOT get any clearer.<br>If the picture is not up to par, go for a scanner with a higher scan resolution.<br><br>

I am in the process of scanning old photos...2.5x3.5 inches in size using a brother ink jet printer.<br />
I would like to increase the size of the photos as it is for a slide show.<br />
Should I be purchasing a stand along scanner such as Epson for this job or what<br />
