Remote Desktop Connection Drops after 4 Hours

With having to work from home, I am connecting to my work computer and every 4 hours my connection is closed.
I am not aware of any group policy that is setup to automatically drop me after being connected for 4 hours.
Is this a default time for an RDP connection and is there a way to override that to like 8 or 10 hours?

Your help is greatly apprceciated.

"I am not aware of any group policy that is setup to automatically drop me after being connected for 4 hours. "
Which doesn't mean there isn't one.  It is possible to turn off both idle time counters and total time counters, and it's probably a good idea to have someone look into that.

Alternately, it may be the NIC on one end or the other going into a power-saving mode and causing the VPN to disconnect.

I know the network cards at my office are unchecked for Power Management on the NICS.

My home computer did have the Power Management checked off. I made the change and I see if that made a difference.

I should know in about an hour. I'll let you know.

Thanks!

Still disconnected me at 4 hours.

Are you using remote desktop over a VPN connection, or some other type of remote connection?

Yes, I am using PIA and then connecting.
I can disconnect the PIA VPN and see if that fixes it. I know others are experiencing the same issue and I'm not sure if they are using VPN or not. I hope so.
I'll reply back tomorrow with my findings.
Thanks!
