First of all the server is out of the update life cycle, you need to upgrade it. Second of all, so goes the same for your Win7 computers.<br>But that aside, test with another Win10 PC to connect to a Win10 PC. If it works, the firewall/RDP settings on the Win10 PC's are correct. If it doesn't check the firewall/RDP settings.<br>If the settings are correct, how do you connect to your Win10 PCs? From remote logged in the Work Place web page? Directly using mstsc on the server?<br><br><br>

Thank you. &nbsp;Yes. &nbsp;That is what I have been trying. &nbsp;To use rdp on the network from one win 10 computer to access another. &nbsp;The firewall settings on each machine are locked. That is why I think I have to modify something in group policy. &nbsp;However I am familiar with other similar networks that don't display this behavior. &nbsp;On the win 10 computers there is a remote desktop setting which is turned off in this case. This is in the windows 10 settings. &nbsp;These are settings that are locked to the user, managed by administrator. &nbsp;Checking locations where rdp is available I see that this setting is turned on but still locked.<br />

Lastly, are you trying to connect by name or by IP address? &nbsp;I'd use IP address while troubleshooting to eliminate a potential issue with DNS.

Remote desktop is disabled on all Win 10 computers on the network. &nbsp;<br />
<br />
When you look at the old style &quot;Control Panel&quot; settings for remote access it looks normal but the settings are locked. &nbsp;If you click to see what users on the machine are allowed for RDP that section looks normal.<br />
<br />
However if you go to the win 10 settings app and search Remote Desktop and then look at the Remote Desktop Settings, that is turned off and the setting is greyed out. &nbsp;It says these settings are set by the administrator.<br />
<br />
I've checked every group policy setting that I can find or look up but it hasn't effected the situation.<br />

I messed around with group policy for a while and kept restarting a couple of test clients and was unsuccessful. &nbsp;I left it for two days and then it was working. &nbsp;I have to keep reminding myself to be patient.<br />
