vSphere Uplinks show 1500 MTU using CDP information from it's upstream Nexus partner but I verified the Nexus at 9216 on that interface. I also enabled 9000 on the vNIC of the ESXi host UCS server and rebooted.<br />

I'm even able to vmkping storage with an 8972 payload from the ESXi host which traverses through the vSphere Uplinks to the Nexus and then storage. Any ideas? <br />

Perhaps it's just giving me the Nexus management interface MTU?<br />
