How to view Weekly or monthly reports from Citrix NetScaler regarding user activity.
Since we have the Citrix Standard License, we can only view so much information from the Citrix Director. I was told that, in order to see weekly reporting regarding user activity (VPN and ICA) we will need to export the inforamtion from the NetScaler to a syslog server. My questions are:
1) How can we get accurate reporting regarding Citrix user activity?
a. NetScaler VPN activity.
b. ICA connection activity
2). What about if a user connects to a published App or Desktop directly from Citrix WorkSpace? Will those users show up in the NetScaler?
a. I wold think it would not show up in the NetScaler's logs; but, I would expect it to show up in teh Citrix Director's logs?
b. Can anyone confirm this?
3). If I am correct about #2 above then is there a way to export information from Director into a syslog server as well?
a. This way we can get a complete data base of Citrix user activity.
People want to know how to get good metrics regarding the Citrix user activity and I am charged with trying to find a way to make that happen?
