Does SCCM come with SCOM?
Hi, my company are looking to purchase SCOM 2019. I was wondering if SCCM comes as part of the package or is it a separate purchase?
Some of the things i would like to do with SCCM are: deployment of win 10 clients and manage the update of Office.

Of cource, SCCM can patch MS products.

If we decide not to go down the SCCM route, what would you recommend for patching Office 2019? As it's no longer covered by WSUS i believe.

I take it you can download the office 2019 updates from the CDN and apply them offline? And if so what software would be used for such a task?

You no longer can deploy updates for new Office versions using WSUS. Office 2019 on premise is also using "click-to-run" technology.
The only way to control updates for Office 2019 is to create your own local installation source and update it by yourself with the ODT setup.exe and /download parameter, either manually or by setting up a task in task planer on a server or admin workstation.
If we download the WSUS updates offline then we are not using this 'click to run', so WSUS would not be an option?
