Random Question marks in emails

When using outlook 2010 with G sync for gmail. Some of our users are reporting that they will have random "?" marks appear in the email. This just start to happen recently and will happen on new lines and sometimes at the end or middle of a sentence. What would be the best way to resolve this issue. Thank you!

It is a known issue and there is no special character/font as the sender will not notice any problem in sent mail. The quick fix is only possible from the recipient side as follows:-

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, select File > Options.
  2. Within Outlook Options, click the Advanced section (on the left-hand side).
  3. Under the heading International options, ensure that Automatically select encoding for outgoing messages is set to Unicode (UTF-8).
  4. Click OK to save changes.
