The good news is that most programs that &quot;require&quot; administrative privileges actually don't. They may need write access to a specific restricted folder or registry key. A little experimentation here may reveal this to be true. I seem to recall the existence of a piece of software that will watch the installation process and report back where the installer touches. Assuming I'm not hallucinating this - largely because I've never actually used it and have no idea what it's called - it would be very handy in such a situation. From there, I'd open a ticket with their support team. In this day and age, I'll pretty much guarantee you're not the only person complaining about this &quot;requirement&quot;. Keep on them about it. Escalate as far up the chain as you can.

Anyway, you can use a 3rd party tool that could help you to manage what you need, eg. RunAs Tool which is free (<a href="https://www.sordum.org/8727/runastool-v1-4/" rel="ugc">link here</a>), or Steel RunAs just for 10$ (<a href="http://steelsonic.com/steelrunas.htm" rel="ugc">link here</a>).
