Just to piggyback on Sam's comment, no points, please. When you add the item to the References list (early binding), you get some great advantages, including intellisense and the use of the constants which are declared in the reference. &nbsp;But this adds some overhead to your application, and can cause problems if someone with an earlier version of Office were to open the application, as the reference will not refresh properly. What I generally do is add the reference, take advantage of intellisense and the built-in constants. &nbsp;Then I capture the values of those built-in constants and create my own constants or just use the actual values of those constants. &nbsp;Then I change the Dim statement as in below and remove the reference. &nbsp;This is called late binding, and although it is a tad bit slower, the advantage of removing the reference and allowing for limited backwards compatibility can be important, especially in a multi-user environment where you don't have totoal control over who is going to use the application, or what version they are using. <pre><code class="code-10 nolinks" id="code-20-43065158-1">Function GetFolder() As String
