Upgrading 2008 to 2012 R2 Domain Controller

Hi All,

I need advise for Upgrading Domain controller 2008 to 2012 R2. I need to keep same ip address and hostname.

We have 3 Domain controller (Two server 2012 and one Server 2008 )

I have already moved FSMO role  2008 Server to Server 2012. and After decommisioned server 2008 I will format  and nstall Server 2012 R2 with same hostname and ip address.

Then i will promoto to Server 2012 R2 to as PDC.

Just adding to the advice above.....  Are you installing this as a Virtual Machine (VM)?  If not, is there a good reason in your case not to?
