Choose particular language and topics that your son is interested in. &nbsp;You're probably looking for something like a basic class on data structures, that sort of thing. &nbsp;Something that would be taught early in high school or college, when most kids get introduced to programming in school today.<br />

It worked for us. &nbsp;My daughter passed the AP computer science test in middle school before she had even taken a formal CS class in school and now looks set for a career in the industry if she chooses to take that path (she's in college today).<br />
