Will net framework be upgraded by Windows Server 2008 R2 service pack 1 ?

Hi
 
i have to upgrade Windows Server 2008 R2 . to service pack 1 (yes you read that correctly!)

This is to help migrate it to Azure in the near future

Can anyone tell me if i upgrade to service pack one will it update the dotnet version automatically?User generated imageUser generated imageCapture3.PNG

Which version do you have now? You can have multiple .NET Framework versions installed.

You can download and check the list of all packages included (Updates in Win7 and WS08R2 SP1.xls). It includes hotfixes/security updates for .NET Framework 3.5.

No, as noted SP1 updates the OS.
.Net is a component that is installed separately.

thanks , so SP1 will do its update and there is nothing in the roll up that will update net framework ?

it’s one of our Dev teams severs , their application relies on dotnet4 , so if that upgrades it breaks it. the updates in the attached picture are the only updates ever done. I need to get to SP1 so I can in stall KB3033929 so I can install crowdstrike AV
SP1 will not update .net 4.
