Two Computers Same Useid

Two Windows  10  - laptop and desktop. Want to use the same user id for a Microsoft  account on each computer.  Laptop set up originally with the MS account and has a users/userid folder containing my Outlook mail files. The desktop has a users/(unknown) folder.  If I login to the MS account on the desktop, will that create the users/userid on that machine?

And then will I be able to move my Outlook files to the desktop?  Remove them from the laptop?

Thanks
Jim

My email userid is now jaames.daniel@sonic.net.

On the desktop, add the Microsoft account as a new one, the process will create the local account that ties it to the Microsoft account. The local place holder might not be the same ..
Note Microsoft account grants access as long as Internet is accessible on login.
