I don't think you can use Materialize only for the carouse without issue.<br />
<br />
Materialize is similar to Bootstrap and &nbsp;it have CSS &amp;&nbsp;JS that will apply to all the page element not only for a specific element.<br />
<br />
What you can do is take the only Materialize CSS / JS that you need for your carousel and copy it into a custom.css and custom.js<br />
<br />
But if I was you I would use Bootstrap or Materialize for the entire web site not only for an element.<br />
That will be more uniform for the look and your website will be responsive (adjust to the device screen).<br />
<br />
Also the CSS / JS links order of the files is important, this define priority.<br />
<br />
If you have inline style that could break the code and priority too.

I am using the Fluid Grid and am about 50% done with the site. &nbsp;Is there another carousel that would work better? I am not partial to the one from Materialize.<br />
