SCCM Endpoint Protection<br />

If I understand Endpoint Protection is used as AntiMalware and Antivirus.<br />
There is a Role in SCCM for Endpoint Protection to configure Firewall , AntiMalware and Anti Virus &nbsp;Antipolicies. However I am not sure if there is a Server dedicated for AntiMalware and Anti Virus.<br />

For instance with Trend Micro or Symantec &nbsp;they are installed on a dedicated server then you &nbsp;push the agent to clients and you manage pretty much everything from the Trend Micro or Symantec server.<br />
<br />
With Endpoint Protection, is SCCM server considered as the AntiMalware and Anti Virus server, just like Trend Micro or Symantec &nbsp;?<br />
OR<br />
<br />
We need to have a Dedicated Server with Endpoint Protection Role installed on it ?<br />
