Suggestions For A Free/Open source Community Site For A Windows Server (PHP or .NET)

I am looking for a good looking open source/free community site that I can host on my windows server. PHP, .NET is fine. This is for a couple hundred non-tech types so easy to use and modern look is what I am after.

As far as specific features, they all do about the same thing and so I am more interested in all around ease of use and modern looks.

I am interested in what you have used as an admin or user.

I have used Joomla and while it might be a little overkill to setup (depends on your needs), it is a good overall solution if you are ok with PHP. Get a theme/system which you can install and configure to reduce your efforts (and ensuing headache).
On .Net front, I think it will take some time before an open source solution can meet such requirements.

Thanks Chinmay.   I was thinking more on the line of https://www.oxwall.com/, https://www.humhub.com/en, https://vanillaforums.com/en/ etc.  I know for sure the first two have to be on Apache and not IIS.
what about WordPress? Mediawiki ?

of the 3 you mentioned only humhub is 'free' and open source  from a general view I can't see why it can't be adapted to use IIS ... Apache Web server runs fine on Windows Server as well.
Thank you David,  All of those have a community edition and I have tried to make them work and no luck without going into the gory details. It is just a couple of small things that trip everything up there.  I have a windows server that is on plesk and I have tried to run both in the past and one issue is you have to allocate memory to Apache and more than is what is really needed. I don't think Plesk supports Apache for Windows anymore.

I was really trying to find a ready made system to run the community and not just a CMS where I can closely manage membership and have forum as well as have options to integrate some other custom features.  What seems to be promising now is OpenSocial https://www.getopensocial.com/ which has a free community version that runs alongside Drupal https://www.drupal.org/project/social.  For now, my fallback is probably going to be https://laravel.io/forum found at https://github.com/laravelio
