If someone else in your company already requested a wildcard certificate and is using it - can you just use that certificate for your device? e.g. suppose a sysadmin generated a CSR for * to put on his IIS server. He saves that cert to a shared drive and installs it on his IIS server. A few months go by and he decides to put a load balancer in front of the IIS server. The VIP on the load balancer will also need * So I think the previously generated wildcard certificate can just be installed. Correct? Or would a new CSR have to be generated from the load balancer for * Thank you for clarifying.
