If you are using Microsoft 365 (formerly called Office 365) on a monthly update, you have the new dynamic arrays feature. Tom,<br><br>Perhaps I should have reworded my question...sorry all for the mis infomation.<br><br>Basically I'm consolidating all the names and count it as one.<br><br>So for Flen, I don't if this makes it any easier but if it starts with "FLEN*" then count it as one as well as it starts with TRIAIR then all the names would count as one too.<br><br>So for FLEN = 1<br>TRIAIR = 1<br><br>Regardless of how many ways it spelled.

I'll bite, what's the use of returning a count of 1 for FLEN and TRIA? <br><br>If you want to know whether there are one or more variations that start with FLEN, you could use:<br><pre><code class="code-1 nolinks" id="code-20-43079827-1"><span>=--(COUNTIF(A$2:A$21,"FLEN*")&gt;0)</span>

Hmmm.. &nbsp;byundt's partial match may be the best solution. &nbsp;The process could be somewhat manual. &nbsp;I have been through similar exercises and have used other fields in the record to help clarify the problem. &nbsp;For instance, looking at the mailing address, city, zipcode, etc &nbsp;(where the same) to see how the customer name may differ.&nbsp;&nbsp;
