Azure Files - SMB Blocked by ISPs

Hello, we are looking into moving our file shares to Azure Files so that we can retire our servers.  The issue we're noticing in testing is that almost all consumer ISPs block SMB out to the Internet, so there isn't a way for users to access these shares from home.  We were hoping that with Azure Files over SMB 3, we would be able to allow users to access their files without needing a VPN connection.  Is there any good workaround for this problem?

Thank you, Michael.  I think SMB over QUIC is going to be our solution, but for now, we will have to set up a private endpoint in Azure and have our users connect to the VPN as they do now to be able to access file shares.
